little blessings :]

It's been another eventful week at the Park Home!  For sure the kind of week where noticing your blessings seems a little harder than usual?  From anxiety attacks to robbery to best friends and family...this weeks had it all!  What a blessing it is that I took on this challenge...I needed it!  Reminding myself everyday to notice some sort of little gift from above has blessed my entire outlook...I'm soooo thankful!  (Thanks again Laura)

August 3rd...as much as I loathe bugs, I have a fondness for pill (we call them potato) bugs.  i have vivid memories of collecting these with cousins and friends, naming them and not squishing them.  i went walking with my husband this august 3rd morning and there were so many of these potato bugs along the pathway...i couldn't help but smile thinking of great old memories!  never thought a bug would bring me any kind of blessing ;]
August 4th...this is my BF Kay.  she would kill me for putting this picture on my blog ;]  we go to lunch as often as our schedules allow it, today was lunch day with Kay!  lunch with a good friend is always a blessing!
August 5th...we picked the first batch of peas from our garden tonight!  there were only 12, but man were they good!
August 6th...this bike, along with 2 others and my purse were stollen from our garage in the early hours of this day.  blessing?  yes!  why?!?   it's just a bummer of a reminder of what's most important...and it's not 'things' :]
August 7th...the Scripture App on my iphone.  every once in a while i hear a little 'ding' on my phone.  there's a message that says "just a friendly reminder to read your scriputres"  i smile every time!

August 8th...i actually saw a family walking their dogs, goats and a YAK down my street today!  i LOVE random and unexpected silly-ness.  yaks are not a part of this rural Utah community...so i found it kinda funny!  it's not everday you can say "hey, i saw my neighbors walking their yak today."  i'm still laughing about it :]
August 9th...my daughter and her BF painted the walls today.  they had paint from the top of their head down to their toes...litterally!  they even ran some erronds with me (all covered in paint).  a fun and unexpected moment!
