lds temples

Salt Lake Temple
Manhattan Temple
San Diego Temple
Logan Temple

LDS temples are some of the most beautifully architectured buildings in the whole world.  I have seen castles, cathedrals and other stunning structures...and i think LDS temples are right up there with them in their breathtaking appearance.
Not all LDS temples are built from the same plan.  Some are more conservative than others.  Like, the Logan, UT temple looks nothing like the San Diego, CA temple.  The Manhattan, NY temple is literally located in the heart of the city and looks like a very simple but beautiful business building.  And none of the temples have quite the same display of christmas lights as the Salt Lake City, UT temple...it's totally worth walking through, even in the coldest of temperatures!
Inside the temples are beautiful paintings and immaculate railings and mouldings.  Everything is decorated to match the beauty of the building.  The chandeliers are exquisite!  Temples are the most peaceful places i've ever had the opportunity to be in.
I live within a 15 minute drive of 5 LDS temples.  30 minute drive of 8 LDS temples.  I consider myself fortunate because i can see 3 of them from my back deck.  Since i am LDS, this works out great for me!  There are many LDS people in this world that don't have a temple within 600 miles of where they live (or even further).  I guess that's the benefit of living in the Salt Lake Valley, where there are SO many mormans :]
Enjoy the pic's i've posted!  And if you get a chance drive by an LDS temple near you, or even get out of your car and sit a while on the temple grounds.  It's totally worth your time :]
