It's been almost 3 months since 2011 began and we've been stuck in a whirl wind (more like a hurricane)! I dare say it's been bitter and sweet.
Sadie has been practicing the piano and specifically the piece 'Clair de Lune'. It's not an easy piece to learn but she is progressing well and it sounds beautiful! She received her patriarcal blessing in January and was absolutely thrilled with all it said :] She loves her friends and plays with them often! She's declared herself boyfriend-less and is intent on staying that way :]
Caitlyn is a strong spirit and great example, which is exactly what her patriarcal blessing said when she received it earlier this month. She struggled through a grand mal seizure and a day in the emergency room two weeks ago. She bounced right back though and had a blast with her boyfriend Dallas at Bingham High School's prom. It humbled her to think that this is her last "school" dance!
My sweet CJ has had a rough year. He has been training, of coarse, for several marathons and 1/2 ironmen with a hurt foot and shoulder! He's also been working his hardest to be a great young mens president (which he so totally is!). The cabinet business has picked up a little and he is having to learn how to 'be busy' again :] However, the sudden death of his dad punched him right in the guts. He loves his dad so much. It's going to be a rough road to tow but family is a beautiful thing and saves you every time :] It's comforting to know that Grandpa Park is breathing and healthy again, and hanging out with his mom. The next event for CJ is the Salt Lake Marathon!
and me....well, i'm just trying to hold it together and keep everyone happy :] I love running My Little Book Club and all the children i get to play with every week! I am missing my father in law dearly and SOOOO wish I could give him one more big squeeze. I can't wait for the sun to appear perminantly and also to get my tonsils out and my sinuses re-worked!!! Tired of this Sinusitis crap :]
All-in-all life is a blessing for the Park Family! Amid the rough moments we've seemed to have this year, we certainly can not complain. We love each other, have great friends and the blessings just keep coming!! A BIG Thank You to all who have come to comfort us and play with us so far this fabulous year :]
