week 16...& week 17

Holy Moses the last 2 weeks have been an absolute series of unfortunate events!  I havn't been given 1 minute (until now) to sit and breathe and try to remember exactly what blessings came from these crazy couple weeks!?!
In the midst of being called to primary president, car accidents (yes, plural!), working out some insurance crap, CJ getting ready for and leaving to Kansas for a week long hunt, more insurance crap, house work and laundry getting WAY behind, Sadie having several severe anxiety/panic attacks (end of the quarter, happens every time) and Cait being sick for going on 3 weeks now, well...you get the picture!  So I gathered pic's of what I claim to be "gifts" given to me and my family during the last 2 weeks - and here's what I've got...
My most favorite band in the whole wide world came out with their new album and an independent movie to go with it.  Ahhhh, the power of music.  One night I just put the headphones on and layed with my pillow over my eyes and just listened...couldn't hear a thing but the voice of Tom Deloung singing in my ears :]

Sadie's friends...they are so cute.  They get each other through a lot of high school crap!  I couldn't be more grateful...everyone needs a good friend or 4 :]

Sadie's first girls choice dance...Monster Mash :]  She and her friends had a blast and kept it cheap, yay for Sadie!

This cute little baby is Hope.  She is the daughter of a good friend of mine.  Hope was born with a cephalic disorder (brain partialy outside of the skull) and wasn't expected to live much past birth.  After lots of prayers she made it to 37 days old!  Last week she passed away quietly in her dads arms. This is a blessing considering her little body coudln't cope with it anymore. Her parents are happy she is in a happy place and completely healthy.

OH MY GOSH!  We did it!  My BIGS preschool class is starting to read...and they are good at it!  So proud of all my little preschoolers :]
So...there ya have it.  There are many more gifts, I just didn't take a picture or have forgotten.  That's life ;]  But hey, at least this blog is helping me to actively go and recognize all my many blessings (oh, another blessing!).  I'm hoping we (my family) can move on into better days now.

"Accidents will occur in the best-regulated families."  Thanks Charles Dickens, I needed that ;]

Keep smiling,
lisajp
