It's been one of the most busy weeks of the year (last year!). I really swear that no matter what my plans were to get 'stuff' done....something else came up and I was left getting my 'stuff' done during short, random moments. So, needless to say, I didn't accomplish getting everything done that I wanted to by the first of the year. It's ok though :] I am so happy with the joy of life...I will get through it!
I don't have time to post pictures today...so I consider this a journal entry, just so I won't forget. On to little blessings, here we go....
1 - Christmas was a whirlwind that honestly I'm glad is over with. I love christmas, but some years the crazyness is too much and I would rather just sit and read a book, eat cookies and drink diet coke than go to another event that really means nothing to my family and me. What I can say about christmas is that the blessing of being with those you really do love is a comfortable little joy that I love. You just can't help notice the goodness in your life at christmas time :]
2 - I have watched my oldest daughter take a little more control of her life and self esteem. She has plenty of self confidence, but I've always longed for her to have a little more self esteem. I am so grateful that prayer works and she is doing so much better in her awesome little life :]
4 - My second daughter hasn't had her tremors nearly as bad as she has in the past. I can watch her play the piano now without sadness. I watched her play last night and it was incredible how in control she was of her 'shakes'. She is a beautiful piano player...so talented :]
5 - My best K9 friend spent many days of the holiday in the house with me! I love him, he is my constant friend. He had a great bath at "K9 Design" for his christmas present...so while he was in, my house stayed smelling quite nice and not like wet dog hair! :]
6 - As a family, we decided to make a job chart to follow this year. It's sort of like our family new year resolution. So Caitlyn went (on her own) bought a big calendar, filled it out with everyones jobs for everyday of the month and it's actually going quite well. It's only the 4th, so I'm crossing my fingers that it will last because my house is looking great ;D
7 - My primary kids. They are great! My presidency, I love them, they are hilarious women who will do just about anything to help me and make the primary run a whole lot better!
8 - I miss my preschool kids and today is the first day back after the break!! I am excited to see them...they have been a HUGE blessing to me. Austin, Mason, Zeke, Brooklyn, Jaycie, Kaydence, Madison and Paisley,Mikayla, Madisen, Alexandra, Jackson, Hayden - Miss Lisa LOVES YOU!
9 - And finally, the weather here is gorgeous. No snow, which is weird - but I'm not about to complain about 50 degree weather and plenty of sunshine!!!!! I just hope it isn't snowing in june??? That would not be on my list of little blessings ;]
2011 was a rough year for my family (and so many others, i find out as i get talking with others)! I WISH....everyone a better year than last year (even if it was a good one), with happyness, laughter, good food, good friends and a peaceful spirit in the home!!!!
