I know, ABSOLUTELY & 100%, that I am an American Girl!!!!
Here's a few 'beautiful' reasons why:
When I was 4 years old, my dad drove a 1967 mustang. It was gold and I adored it! As I got a bit older, my preference turned to the '64 model….but still a mustang, and still my favorite. To this day, when asked what my dream car is, I say, "A 1964 convertible mustang, baby blue with white interior and white wall tires." Tricked out and in pristine condition, obviously! So, I will thank my dad for introducing me to the Ford Mustang. Truly an american classic!

When I was 14, I loved a musician by the name of Howard Jones. His music inspired me, made me happy and I knew all lyrics to all his songs! In one of his music video's, it shows him driving a red convertible corvette. Needless to say, my new favorite car was a corvette. They have always seemed to be such a "sexy" car to me! They also remind me of a shark…yep, it's because of the side vents. I don't have a picture of the 1984 corvette, but I have one of a '62, and because I'm older now…the '62 has my heart. So retro and classy!

If I'm being honest, then I will tell you that I didn't notice the Chevy Camero much…UNTIL I saw the first Transformers movie! I fell in eternal love with Bumblebee! Not being a big fan of 'colorful' cars, the yellow didn't do much for me…so I started to study the Camero. In my studying, I became a big fan of the 'old school' camero (shocker.). I will, and ALWAYS will, love the charcoal with black stripe chevy camero. But, I seem to end up with a white car every time I buy one…so the 2015 below, seems a little bit more realistic to me?!?
Who wouldn't want this STELLER Camero? I want to drive TOP SPEED on the open road in this one! |

So….these are all american made cars and they have remained my very favorites through 40 fantastic years!! However, if you ask me what my favorite, everyday kind of car is….well, that would be a Toyota 4-Runner - totally japanese. I guess we all have a little flare for something foreign?
Thank you Grandpa Gibson for letting me hang out in your tire shop. It is because of that awesome tire shop that my love of cars continued to grow. I will forever be entranced by the smell of new tires. My american heritage is something I am so proud of. I've admitted I do not buy everything american made…but I sure try to (and besides Toyota has a factory right here in the good old U S of A!). Long live the American Muscle Car!
Peace and sunshine
Lisa
